Hi, Just touching base. Well with just having had the scare of a short lifetime, with compuetr virus's playing havoc with our computer and thinking we may have lost amongst other information all our digital photo's (approximately 6000 of them!). The great news is we haven't, so will be updating this baby shortly with some of my projects from the last couple of years! Can you beleive I just wrote that! sad but true... so stay tuned my audience of none.... Lil x

My Sisters Apartment

I was appointed by my sister and her partner in 2005 to refurbish their apartment located in the centre of the city of Melbourne. These photo's were taken in haste as they (my sister & partner)were about to jet off overseas. Their apartment is a one bedroom with integrated kitchen and lounge room. We kept the details minimal, the colours neutral and they chose colours to add highlight and texture through their soft furnishings.

Traditional meets Contemporary

The concept for this Award winning Design was developed during 2003/04. (Master Builders Association- Best Design renovation above $300,000) Located in Blackrock Melbourne, the Kitchen was refurbished with new appliances, cabinetry matched to original work and a new granite benchtop. The refurbishment incorporated a custom designed Living Space, matched to the client's requirements. Equipment specifications were the most challenging element, as technology is continually changing. We incorporated upgraded selections throughout the project and delivered a highly successful solution. The bar was inspired by custom furniture commissioned by the Client. The bar exists as a backdrop to the entertainment area. We accommodated the Clients changes throughout the project - and seamlessly integrated the adjusted equipment specifications. Minimal design detail enhances the contemporary design of the area, and defines the bar separately from the rest of the room. The Ensuite bathroom was designed around the Clients choice of joinery. Rectified edge porcelain tiles finish the space with a level of detail superior to a standard tile selection. This project met the Brief: 'Traditional meets Contemporary' and with an award for our efforts, we were all very happy.

Albert Park Ensuite

These first images are of a Vanity unit in an ensuite bathroom I designed in 2005 and was built in 2006. The cabinet maker and I worked well together and his interpretation of what I wanted to achieve is highlighted in the finished work. The first image details the marble bench top and splash back next wiuth the American Walnut Veneer finished in a satin urethane. I love the combination of the cool and sophisticated stone next to the warmth and movement of the timber veneer. It looks beautiful and works well together. The overall effect of textures, colours and light enhances the openness of the ensuite bathroom, which in fact is a very small space.
